El Clásico........ The Clash of a life time!!

It is without any doubt one of the most important games of this season. Millions of people will lock them down tomorrow at 4:00 Pm eastern time for the biggest clash in the European league, more known as El Clásico, between the six-title champion Barcelona against the Royal club, Real Madrid. It is the talk of all sport newspaper; it is the center of all the soccer’s fan. This match has a deferent taste from the others matches because of its importance in determining the league title winner. So far, the both team share the same number of points before the end of the league by eight rounds. They both have 77 points, which never happened in Spanish league that two team shared this much of point at this time of the league. Although players from both team have declared that this match couldn’t be decisive, but they admitted that is crucial for both team.

When Florentino Pérez spent 250 million euro out of Real Madrid treasury, is to build a team that can compete In both Spanish and European level. Tomorrow’s match will prove if ht emoney spent was paid off or not. We all remember the historic six-titles that Barcelona won the last year comparing to “ZERO” title for the Real Madrid. Also, Real Madrid’s fans can;’t forget the humiliating lost to Barcelona t the Bernabéu last year, 6 –2 when Madrid fans walked out of the stadium half way through the second half of the game. The time is now for Real Madrid to take its revenge back, and gaind the trust of their fans back.

The difference between Real Madrid last year and this year, is the players, coach and the sprit that they lacked for a long tim. Now Real Madrid have a solid defense, consisting of Alvaro Arbeloa, Albiol , and Sergio Ramos. Also two unstoppable strikers, Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo. Though Barcalona’s team didn’t change much from the last year team, except for Ibrahimovic, who will unfortunately will miss tomorrow’ match. Another thing that might changed is the performance of Barcelona, they are in a much better shape from what they were, scoring a total of 6 goal in Arsenal’s net in champions league is something can’t be looked over at easily.

If the disappointed exit of Real Madrid from the Champions league was Real Madrid’s worst nightmare this year, then there is only one way make that up, is to win the Clásico. Away from being important for Real Madrid to gain the leadership, it is also as important for Manuel Pellegrinito prove that he worth coaching the most expensive Club in the world. Failing to win the match would main the end for Pellegrini, Real Madrid’s coach.

Breaking all the records….and they just keep winning

El Derbi madrileño
Real Madrid Fans at the Santiago Bernabuo Stadium from the match against Atlitco Madrid

Real Madrid currently broke many of the clubs records in the Spanish League. They made their 11 consecutive win in the league, which is the best second half start for the team. Scoring at least 3 goals in each of these eleven games, which is another record they broke, when they won 9 games with more than 3 goals scored. Also, in the Europe as whole, Real Madrid currently, is the only club that have won all the matches played on its stadium. With nine games left on the league, Real Madrid competition heats up with its biggest rival- Barcelona. Before talking about one of the most anticipated events of the year, I’d like to discuss some general facts about the team and their recent won over Atlético Madrid, most commonly known as being El Derbi madrileño. The matches luckily ended with a late come back from Real Madrid to win the match 3 to 2. Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid highlights 3 - 2

First of all, let me discuss both teams’ performance in the first half. Atletco Madird opened the scoring with Antonio Reyes at the tenth minute. The goal was a master piece, the finisher from Antonio, and Aguero who assisted him beautifully. This was a shocking goal for Real Madrid, as they didn’t expect that they will score so early. On the other hand, is was a “slap” of awakens for Real Madrid. Real Madrid began the match, almost for the whole first half with a very poor performance. Especially their passes, almost most of the passes were not completed. They looked very confuse. There were no real chances for Real Madrid except of two, One for Higuain and the other for Cristiano Ronaldo, and unfortunately they didn’t use them wisely.

At the very beginning of the second half, Real Madrid FINALLY made their way back. Xabi Alonso brought the hope back to the Santiago Bernabuo Stadium with a beautiful play from a corner kick. After the first goal, Alvaro Arbeloa scored the second for Real Madrid. Also this time the assist came from Xabi Alonso who passed a long ball to Arbeloa. Arbeloa found himself in front the goal and did not hesitate to score the second for Real Madrid. Then the turn came to Higuain to score the third for Real Madrid after a mistaken poor from the defense of Atletco Madird who were very confused. After just five minutes from Higuain’s goal, Diego Forlan scored the second goal for Atletco Madird from a penalty kick. Atletco Madird looked like they had a chance to come back, but, they didn’t.

Among the three goals Real Madrid scored, Arbeloa’s goal was the best I believe. He really took his goal in a professional way as if it was Ronaldo. Also, Xabi Alonso played one of his best games in the league. One ironic fact is that the previuse match between the teams ended with the same score, 3 - 2 for Real Madrid. After this Dramatic derbi between Atlitco and Real Madrid. Real Madrid came out from the match with precious 3 points which returned them to the top of the Spanish league, sharing it with barcalona.

Who to blame for the Shoucking Exit? the players...

Again, with the question, Who to blame for the shocking exit from the Champions League? Last time I discussed about how some people think that the Coach Manuel Pellegrini is the one to blame. However, I didn’t agree with them as I believe he did all could do. Today, I will talk about the players and their role in losing top Lyon. I really believe that the only reason behind Real Madrid shocking exiting is the players themselves. Iker Casillas, The Captain of Real Madrid Squad made it clear in the post match comments to the press,” We take the all responsibility, it is not the coach to blame. He [the coach] is the most suitable coach for real Madrid in the world”. I think that Casillas made a very important point. I strogly agree with him, because the tow Madrid- Lyon matches that I saw, I can tell that the players didn’t do their job well.

First, I’d like to say that the whole team failed, and not just a one player. But I want to point out one player he missed up bad in the both matches. The player one is Higuain. Higuain is known to be the top scorer for Real Madrid at this time. His scoring average is a goal every 46.7 minutes, one of the highest in Spanish league. However, he failed to score in the two matches against Lyon. In the first math Higuain did, literally, nothing in the game, not even a single chance was allowed for him. But in the second game againt Lyon, he had some good chances, but he missed taking advantage out of them. Also, in the second game against Lyon, Higuain looked more selfish. Every time the ball reached him, he tried scoring by himself. In many, in particular three very critical chances in front of the goal, Higuain could’ve passed the ball to his team-mate Ronaldo, or Kaka, but he took the shot instead. In two chances, Ronaldo was wide open and alone front the goal, but Higuain didn’t pass him the ball. The same thing happened with Kaka when he was alone front the goal but Higuain didn’t pass the ball.

Many people thing that Higuain was trying to prove himself for the Argentina coach Diego Armando Maradona , to include him in the Argentina squad. Others just say that Higuain feel jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo. I think it might be little of the both. Higuain wants very bad to be in the Argentina squad in the World Cup 2010, which I believe made him little bit selfish in the game.

HOWEVER, I would like to say the same thing again, Higuain is just one of the eleven players who to blame for the shocking exit of Real Madrid. Real Madrid made winning this trophy, Champions League title, their top priority this season, but unfortunately, they failed. All the Real Madrid’s fans just hope that the league title won’t go away as well. There are ten games left in the league, and Real Madrid leading it, only by goal differences. The day after tomorrow, Sunday, Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid in the El Derbi madrileño.

Who to blame for the Shocking Exit? The coach?

GoodBye Champions League :(

Real Madrid’s shocking exit from the Champions League have raised many question about the Los Blancos , Real Madrid. Some of the questions are how good is Real Madrid ? The most important question to be answered, is who to blame?, Or in other word, What is missing in the team? Real Madrid’s president has gone into the media of all sports newspaper by him spending over 270million Euro in summer transfers to bring only 9 players to the club. He hoped by bringing the best players in the world will make the team unbeatable and to regain its repetition of being the Royal Club in Euro. However, he failed to do so by exiting the Champions league in the first knock out round. After this shocking exit, some people blamed the player, others the coach, even some went to blame the president of the club, Florentino Pérez. In this blog I will try to answer whether the coach is who to blame or not. ((in the picture both the president of Real Madrid Florentino Perez, and the Coach Manuel Pellegrini))

Many people like to blame the coach Manuel Pellegrini, the head coach, for the shocking exit from the Champions League. Me personally, I like Manuel Pellegrini's tactics and the way he makes the players play on the field. He is known to not play with wingers, instead, he likes to play with center strikers in front the goal, which is the perfect style for Real Madrid. At the starting of the season , everything was going all well with five wins in row. But the criticism came when Real Madrid lost to Alcorcon in Copa del Rey. It took a while until he gained the confident of the fans again. He was praised when the team recovered from the lost and got to win streak again in the Liga and the first round of group stages in Champions league. But the biggest criticism came after Lyon’s match in the first knock out round of the Champions League. He, I don’t know why, let Mahamadou Diarra to play as a starter, although he just came back from an injury. Also, he had much more better players than him to play the midfield position. But no he chose Mahamadou Diarra instead. This is the reason why I think that Real Madrid couldn’t create real chances, because of the lack of a strong midfielder. Although some people may say that it doesn't make sense to a single player to affect the result for the entire match, but in fact it does. Because, if a team has a solid midfield, then it will be very easy to create goals. Another criticism over Manuell Pellegrinies was in the second round of the champions league, when Real Madrid tied 1-1 with Lyon. After Lyon scored, he surprised everyone by substituted KaKa with Raul.

I can’t deny that he made some wrong decisions in very few matches, but I have to admit, he is one of my favorite coaches. The style he plays with, and his substitutes during the games are very clever. He build some good players in the team, who were not known before. Some of these players are van der Vaart , Garay, and Granero. In addition, he makes Real Madrid players play whole as a one team, instead of individual players. Since he took the mission of coach, Real Madrid is playing great, way better than the past years. He makes the players go in one rhythm, passes the ball beautifully between them. Some people are very admired by the way Real Madrid is playing as they went to say the this team is the best team in Real Madrid in the last twenty years. So, I guess that we can't blame The coach for very very few mistakes he made, which I'm pretty sure every coach has his bad days.

New Era of Real Madrid, Champions League + the La Liga title

Real Madrid most wanted trophy !!

Real Madrid are playing their best season matches, they have won their last 6 games and scoring 21 goals. Making their average scoring rate around 4 goals for each match. After watching their last two matches in Spanish league, I can say with confidence, if they keep it the same way, then the La Liga title will surely be for Madrid. Now Real Madrid is only two points behind the Barcalona, who hold the first place, in the La Liga. However, Real Madrid are not doing so well on champions League competition. They had their first match in knock out stages against Olympique Lyonnais, two weeks ago. They lost one to nothing. Unfortunately, this was not what I expected from Real Madrid, the worst thing I could've' imagined is a draw, but no, we lost L.

I saw Real Madrid's match against Olympics Lyon, and I have to admit, we sucked big time. Real Madrid didn't play as a team, they had no any real chances again Lyon. Every time Real Madrid tried to get close to Lyon's side, Lyons' players cut the ball. I don't know why, but they seemed so confuse. Kaka-Ronaldo, were like ghost, thought Ronaldo had just a few chances at the end of the game. But still, he played his worst game of the season. This thing does not go just for Ronaldo and Kaka; nonetheless, this goes for all the players. Starting from Iker Casillas, the goal keeper, to Real Madrid's top scorer, Higuain. Real Madrid showed nothing at whole. Higuain was like an extra player on the pith, I'm not even sure if he even touched the ball. Pellegrini, tried to fix things up by letting Benzema play instead of Higuain, but Benzema was not better than Higuain at whole. The match was the same. I'm just glad in one way, is that Real Madrid only lost by one, not more. Because, Lyon had so many chances, but they didn't work to use them well.

Many people think that Real Madrid's lost was because of Pellegrini, the coach. They think that Pellegrini did a mistake when he let Mahamadou Diarra play from the beginning the beginning of the match, although he has just returned from an injury. But I think this is not just Pellegrini's fault, I say it is the team's fault. From my perspective, from what I see in Real Madrid recent matches, I might know what is wrong. I believe it is Real Madrid's defense. Their defense is nothing like before, I mean when Pepe used to be play. I noticed that Lyon's players , even other teams, had no hard time to get in deep Real Madrid defense. This is the same thing Pellegrini told the press after the math, "We had no defense, we didn't play well, they deserve the win"

Anyway, feeling sorry and being mad would not benefit Real Madrid. Real Madrid still has a chanse to qualify to the next stage of Champions League if they win over Lyon. They will meet again at the Santiago Bernabeu, at Madrid, on March 10. Real Madrid has to win by two goals in order to qualify. For me, winning the champions League title is more important than winning the La liga ttile. I'm somewhat glad that Real Madrid lost. It is not that I don't want them to win. But now, at least Pellegrini will put more efforts and focus more on improving the team. Because I know, with this poor defense performance there is no way we can win the Champions League title.

Champions League plus La liga...... What an upcoming week!

&

With their recent win over Espanyol, and the great soccer show they presented in their last sthree matches, Real Madrid will be playing , not very threatening club Xerez. Xerez is at the bottom of the league table with only two wins from 21 play. While Real Madrid have a total of 16 wins from 21 game. I don’t even need to mention any numbers, simply because there is no comparison when it comes about the royal club Real Madrid against this simple club Xerez. For the unlucky Xeresclub, Real Madrid will be playing the match without major injuries in the team players, except a couple. The ‘beast’, Cristiano Ronaldo will be making his come back in the match, after being banned for tow matches. So the Real Madrid’s squad will be full of stars. Hopefully they will make it through and take the easy three points from Xerez.

Real Madrid is entering tomorrow’s match with high hopes and confidence for many reasons. First of all, is because their amazing performance that they showed in the last three matches. Only the last week, Real Madrid won over a strong competitor Espanyol with three goals to nothing. Real Madrid vs Espanyol 3-0. They started the match with in a good way; by scoring the first goal in the fifth minute. It was from Granero’s cross who made the ball curve directly on Sergio Ramos head, who easily put the ball in the net. As I always say, Real Madrid doesn’t ever get enough from scoring; they always go behind the second goal and that what was obvious in the match. After they scored, Real Madrid was still putting ,many efforts to score the second goal. They were close to score in many occasions, but the LEGENDARY Espanyol goalkeeper Idriss Kameni did a great job not letting Real to score again. Anyway, after 25 minutes from the first goal, former AC Milan star Ricardo Kaka kicked the ball which bounced back from the goal keeper after a head kick from Raul. There were many chances for both teams for the rest of the math, as Real Madrid were trying to keep their lead and Espanyol were looking for their first goal. In the middle of the send half, the best, the top scorer, Real Madrid striker, Gonzalo Higuain entered the field along with his teammate mid fielder Rafael van der Vaart. The both player didn’t played for the last three matches because of injuries. The moment Higuain had his foot on the field, I know something is coming. And I wasn’t wrong; Higuain didn’t disappoint me as he scored the third goal for Real Madrid after a beautiful pass from Van der vaart.

Beside tomorrow’s match against Xerez, Real Madrid will face Olympique Lyonnais in the Champions league on Tuesday. This match is from the stage 16, knock out stage, of the champions’ league. I’m pretty optimistic about the two matches, because Xerez is not a threatening team, and the Olympique Lyonnais aren’t not playing their best season in France league. Another thing that comes in mind is Barcelona’s (holds the the first place with 5 points ahead of Real Madrid) math against Atletico de Madrid. I would repeat what Van Der Vaart said in the press conference, “hopefully Real Madrid will win over Xerez, and then cheer for Atletico de Madrid against Barcelona.”....

"Real Madrid is not one man team"

All my worries were for nothing. It’s funny how I was doubtful about Real Madrid’s match last week. Again they proved themselves, “[Real Madrid] is not a one man team”, as Pellegrini said at the end of last week’s match conference. A victory by three goals to one over Deportivo La Coruna was what Real Madrid needed to get their confidence back and continue their race over the title. The match against Deportivo was so threatening because of the many absences in the Real Madrid’s squad, but still they managed to perform some of their best matches.

The match started by Benzema, Raul, and Guti in the starting position, who are usually on the bench, on normal matches, thanks to the many absences in the team. Real Madrid vs Deportivo La Coruña 3-1 [30/01/10] Full Highlights and Goals. As soon as the referee started the game, Real Madrid started their attempts of scoring. As securing a goal at the beginning of the match would make the match safer for Real Madrid. That exactly what happened at the 13th minute, when Real Madrid’s new star Esteban Granero came into action. With the ball moving between 5 heads, it finally came to Granero’s head where he hit it and led it to the net. Still after this goal, Real Madrid’s continued their attacks for a second goal. And the moment finally came at the 40th minute, which was a result of a fantastic team play. The ball started from the goal keeper of Real Madrid, iker Casillas, all the way to Deportivo’s net by Karim benzema. The goal was amazing because it involved quick passes between the players who played like they memorized the scenario of scoring. And the best part was the finishing, as the ball reached Guti from Kaka, he was by himself facing the goal keeper, but instead of hitting the ball towards the target, he passed the ball smoothly with his back heel to the coming Karim Benzema who put it easily in the new. Guti's amazing backheel pass . After this goal, Real Madrid started to play slowly and focused more on defending side more than attacking. The game was lwent like this until Deportiva started it real attemps on Real Madrid’s net. They succeed by getting a penalty kick five minutes before the end of the match. After the goal, and Real Madrid only leading by one, Deportiva players put more pressure on Real Madrid, but the ending word came from Benzeema again. He scored the final goal of the math in the 90’s minute, which was also a result of perfect team, playing.

V.S.

For today’s match, against Espanyol, Real Madrid is in a better shape. Gonzalo Higuain, and Mahamadou Diarra will be able to play in the match. However, Cristiano Ronaldo will not play because of the banning of two matches, tomorrow math is the second. So real Madrid has a better chance in winning, since Espanyol, are not playing their best season, as well as the coach of Espanyol was lately substituted. For me, Real Madrid are playing every game to their maximum, because they know the leader, Barcalona, will not lose points easily. So keeping the difference five points is good, but making the difference bigger might mean losing the title.
