Who to blame for the Shocking Exit? The coach?

GoodBye Champions League :(

Real Madrid’s shocking exit from the Champions League have raised many question about the Los Blancos , Real Madrid. Some of the questions are how good is Real Madrid ? The most important question to be answered, is who to blame?, Or in other word, What is missing in the team? Real Madrid’s president has gone into the media of all sports newspaper by him spending over 270million Euro in summer transfers to bring only 9 players to the club. He hoped by bringing the best players in the world will make the team unbeatable and to regain its repetition of being the Royal Club in Euro. However, he failed to do so by exiting the Champions league in the first knock out round. After this shocking exit, some people blamed the player, others the coach, even some went to blame the president of the club, Florentino Pérez. In this blog I will try to answer whether the coach is who to blame or not. ((in the picture both the president of Real Madrid Florentino Perez, and the Coach Manuel Pellegrini))

Many people like to blame the coach Manuel Pellegrini, the head coach, for the shocking exit from the Champions League. Me personally, I like Manuel Pellegrini's tactics and the way he makes the players play on the field. He is known to not play with wingers, instead, he likes to play with center strikers in front the goal, which is the perfect style for Real Madrid. At the starting of the season , everything was going all well with five wins in row. But the criticism came when Real Madrid lost to Alcorcon in Copa del Rey. It took a while until he gained the confident of the fans again. He was praised when the team recovered from the lost and got to win streak again in the Liga and the first round of group stages in Champions league. But the biggest criticism came after Lyon’s match in the first knock out round of the Champions League. He, I don’t know why, let Mahamadou Diarra to play as a starter, although he just came back from an injury. Also, he had much more better players than him to play the midfield position. But no he chose Mahamadou Diarra instead. This is the reason why I think that Real Madrid couldn’t create real chances, because of the lack of a strong midfielder. Although some people may say that it doesn't make sense to a single player to affect the result for the entire match, but in fact it does. Because, if a team has a solid midfield, then it will be very easy to create goals. Another criticism over Manuell Pellegrinies was in the second round of the champions league, when Real Madrid tied 1-1 with Lyon. After Lyon scored, he surprised everyone by substituted KaKa with Raul.

I can’t deny that he made some wrong decisions in very few matches, but I have to admit, he is one of my favorite coaches. The style he plays with, and his substitutes during the games are very clever. He build some good players in the team, who were not known before. Some of these players are van der Vaart , Garay, and Granero. In addition, he makes Real Madrid players play whole as a one team, instead of individual players. Since he took the mission of coach, Real Madrid is playing great, way better than the past years. He makes the players go in one rhythm, passes the ball beautifully between them. Some people are very admired by the way Real Madrid is playing as they went to say the this team is the best team in Real Madrid in the last twenty years. So, I guess that we can't blame The coach for very very few mistakes he made, which I'm pretty sure every coach has his bad days.
