Who to blame for the Shoucking Exit? the players...

Again, with the question, Who to blame for the shocking exit from the Champions League? Last time I discussed about how some people think that the Coach Manuel Pellegrini is the one to blame. However, I didn’t agree with them as I believe he did all could do. Today, I will talk about the players and their role in losing top Lyon. I really believe that the only reason behind Real Madrid shocking exiting is the players themselves. Iker Casillas, The Captain of Real Madrid Squad made it clear in the post match comments to the press,” We take the all responsibility, it is not the coach to blame. He [the coach] is the most suitable coach for real Madrid in the world”. I think that Casillas made a very important point. I strogly agree with him, because the tow Madrid- Lyon matches that I saw, I can tell that the players didn’t do their job well.

First, I’d like to say that the whole team failed, and not just a one player. But I want to point out one player he missed up bad in the both matches. The player one is Higuain. Higuain is known to be the top scorer for Real Madrid at this time. His scoring average is a goal every 46.7 minutes, one of the highest in Spanish league. However, he failed to score in the two matches against Lyon. In the first math Higuain did, literally, nothing in the game, not even a single chance was allowed for him. But in the second game againt Lyon, he had some good chances, but he missed taking advantage out of them. Also, in the second game against Lyon, Higuain looked more selfish. Every time the ball reached him, he tried scoring by himself. In many, in particular three very critical chances in front of the goal, Higuain could’ve passed the ball to his team-mate Ronaldo, or Kaka, but he took the shot instead. In two chances, Ronaldo was wide open and alone front the goal, but Higuain didn’t pass him the ball. The same thing happened with Kaka when he was alone front the goal but Higuain didn’t pass the ball.

Many people thing that Higuain was trying to prove himself for the Argentina coach Diego Armando Maradona , to include him in the Argentina squad. Others just say that Higuain feel jealous of Cristiano Ronaldo. I think it might be little of the both. Higuain wants very bad to be in the Argentina squad in the World Cup 2010, which I believe made him little bit selfish in the game.

HOWEVER, I would like to say the same thing again, Higuain is just one of the eleven players who to blame for the shocking exit of Real Madrid. Real Madrid made winning this trophy, Champions League title, their top priority this season, but unfortunately, they failed. All the Real Madrid’s fans just hope that the league title won’t go away as well. There are ten games left in the league, and Real Madrid leading it, only by goal differences. The day after tomorrow, Sunday, Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid in the El Derbi madrileño.

Who to blame for the Shocking Exit? The coach?

GoodBye Champions League :(

Real Madrid’s shocking exit from the Champions League have raised many question about the Los Blancos , Real Madrid. Some of the questions are how good is Real Madrid ? The most important question to be answered, is who to blame?, Or in other word, What is missing in the team? Real Madrid’s president has gone into the media of all sports newspaper by him spending over 270million Euro in summer transfers to bring only 9 players to the club. He hoped by bringing the best players in the world will make the team unbeatable and to regain its repetition of being the Royal Club in Euro. However, he failed to do so by exiting the Champions league in the first knock out round. After this shocking exit, some people blamed the player, others the coach, even some went to blame the president of the club, Florentino Pérez. In this blog I will try to answer whether the coach is who to blame or not. ((in the picture both the president of Real Madrid Florentino Perez, and the Coach Manuel Pellegrini))

Many people like to blame the coach Manuel Pellegrini, the head coach, for the shocking exit from the Champions League. Me personally, I like Manuel Pellegrini's tactics and the way he makes the players play on the field. He is known to not play with wingers, instead, he likes to play with center strikers in front the goal, which is the perfect style for Real Madrid. At the starting of the season , everything was going all well with five wins in row. But the criticism came when Real Madrid lost to Alcorcon in Copa del Rey. It took a while until he gained the confident of the fans again. He was praised when the team recovered from the lost and got to win streak again in the Liga and the first round of group stages in Champions league. But the biggest criticism came after Lyon’s match in the first knock out round of the Champions League. He, I don’t know why, let Mahamadou Diarra to play as a starter, although he just came back from an injury. Also, he had much more better players than him to play the midfield position. But no he chose Mahamadou Diarra instead. This is the reason why I think that Real Madrid couldn’t create real chances, because of the lack of a strong midfielder. Although some people may say that it doesn't make sense to a single player to affect the result for the entire match, but in fact it does. Because, if a team has a solid midfield, then it will be very easy to create goals. Another criticism over Manuell Pellegrinies was in the second round of the champions league, when Real Madrid tied 1-1 with Lyon. After Lyon scored, he surprised everyone by substituted KaKa with Raul.

I can’t deny that he made some wrong decisions in very few matches, but I have to admit, he is one of my favorite coaches. The style he plays with, and his substitutes during the games are very clever. He build some good players in the team, who were not known before. Some of these players are van der Vaart , Garay, and Granero. In addition, he makes Real Madrid players play whole as a one team, instead of individual players. Since he took the mission of coach, Real Madrid is playing great, way better than the past years. He makes the players go in one rhythm, passes the ball beautifully between them. Some people are very admired by the way Real Madrid is playing as they went to say the this team is the best team in Real Madrid in the last twenty years. So, I guess that we can't blame The coach for very very few mistakes he made, which I'm pretty sure every coach has his bad days.

New Era of Real Madrid, Champions League + the La Liga title

Real Madrid most wanted trophy !!

Real Madrid are playing their best season matches, they have won their last 6 games and scoring 21 goals. Making their average scoring rate around 4 goals for each match. After watching their last two matches in Spanish league, I can say with confidence, if they keep it the same way, then the La Liga title will surely be for Madrid. Now Real Madrid is only two points behind the Barcalona, who hold the first place, in the La Liga. However, Real Madrid are not doing so well on champions League competition. They had their first match in knock out stages against Olympique Lyonnais, two weeks ago. They lost one to nothing. Unfortunately, this was not what I expected from Real Madrid, the worst thing I could've' imagined is a draw, but no, we lost L.

I saw Real Madrid's match against Olympics Lyon, and I have to admit, we sucked big time. Real Madrid didn't play as a team, they had no any real chances again Lyon. Every time Real Madrid tried to get close to Lyon's side, Lyons' players cut the ball. I don't know why, but they seemed so confuse. Kaka-Ronaldo, were like ghost, thought Ronaldo had just a few chances at the end of the game. But still, he played his worst game of the season. This thing does not go just for Ronaldo and Kaka; nonetheless, this goes for all the players. Starting from Iker Casillas, the goal keeper, to Real Madrid's top scorer, Higuain. Real Madrid showed nothing at whole. Higuain was like an extra player on the pith, I'm not even sure if he even touched the ball. Pellegrini, tried to fix things up by letting Benzema play instead of Higuain, but Benzema was not better than Higuain at whole. The match was the same. I'm just glad in one way, is that Real Madrid only lost by one, not more. Because, Lyon had so many chances, but they didn't work to use them well.

Many people think that Real Madrid's lost was because of Pellegrini, the coach. They think that Pellegrini did a mistake when he let Mahamadou Diarra play from the beginning the beginning of the match, although he has just returned from an injury. But I think this is not just Pellegrini's fault, I say it is the team's fault. From my perspective, from what I see in Real Madrid recent matches, I might know what is wrong. I believe it is Real Madrid's defense. Their defense is nothing like before, I mean when Pepe used to be play. I noticed that Lyon's players , even other teams, had no hard time to get in deep Real Madrid defense. This is the same thing Pellegrini told the press after the math, "We had no defense, we didn't play well, they deserve the win"

Anyway, feeling sorry and being mad would not benefit Real Madrid. Real Madrid still has a chanse to qualify to the next stage of Champions League if they win over Lyon. They will meet again at the Santiago Bernabeu, at Madrid, on March 10. Real Madrid has to win by two goals in order to qualify. For me, winning the champions League title is more important than winning the La liga ttile. I'm somewhat glad that Real Madrid lost. It is not that I don't want them to win. But now, at least Pellegrini will put more efforts and focus more on improving the team. Because I know, with this poor defense performance there is no way we can win the Champions League title.
